Batch 7: iSee & Edgybees

iSee: iSee is a spinout of MIT that is creating predictive artificial intelligence for autonomous vehicles. They’re focused on giving autonomous cars the brains to make decisions in unfamiliar environments. By building and applying a groundbreaking common sense engine to this space, iSee is able to effectively model a variety of behavior of different occurrences on the road. Humans are very good at reacting to highly unique events, autonomous cars are not since it’s very difficult to train them for rare events. They raised a $2.7m seed round in October 2017 from Cherubic Ventures.

Edgybees: Edgybees has developed augmented reality technology for high-speed moving platforms. Using sensors and streaming data, their software allows for overlays on three-dimensional, high-speed motion such as formula racing, military drone target tracking, or heads-up displays in cars. Their Co-Founder and CEO previously managed development at Amazon Prime Air and FireTV platforms. He also was founder and CEO of YMagic Technologies and held key positions at several Israeli tech companies and holds 35 US patents in aerospace, video and vision process, data processing and communication. They raised a $5.5m seed round in February 2018 from OurCrowd, 8VC, Verizon Ventures, and Aspect Ventures.
