DUST Identity: DUST Identity is providing a way to give any object a “fingerprint”. They do this by coating objects in a layer of diamond dust the width of a human hair. They then capture its light pattern which is unique to each object and then store it in a database or on the blockchain. The dust that they use is also low-cost as it is usually the byproduct or waste of industrial uses of diamonds. The company believes this is a highly scalable way to secure the supply chain. The technology was brought out of MIT and was originally funded as a DARPA project. They recently raised a $2.3m seed round in November 2018 led by Kleiner Perkins.

Legit: Legit is a software company that helps R&D teams refine their ideas and compare their solutions from others to help determine key differentiators. The software uses natural language processing (NLP) to search through databases and technical papers and decompose the ideas into relevant topics. This helps engineers, researchers, and scientists compare their work to many more sources by refining external sources. This technology also allows for increased visibility for collaboration and information sharing across divisions at large companies. Legit raised a seed round of $2.6m in April 2018 from Eniac Ventures, Elementum Ventures, Cantos, Expansion Venture Capital, and Max Ventures.
